Remember the story of Emmanuel Balogun a 17-year-old fresh undergraduate student of University of Abuja in Nigeria who was left to drown by his three jealous friends and later abandoned carting away with his belongings which included his handset, trousers, the money in his pocket and one of them even wore his  shoe.

According to the story first reported on Facebook, Emmanuel’s offence was being the type that stands out among peers coupled with the fact that he is from a rich home and he seemed to be admired by girls all the time.

The Nigerian Police have the three suspects in custody:

CCTV footage recovered by the police after the incident and subsequent investigation revealed how Emmanuel paid #2,000 gate fee for each of his friends and also bought fish and juice which they all drank together before his friends collectively decided to watch him drown, at a time they grouped together to discuss for about a minute while he was struggling for his life.
